FOSDEM 2025
—IRC Today was at FOSDEM 2025.
We made a talk about IRC software in 2025, available here for replay, featuring:
- A showcase of the typical modern IRC stack around IRC Today (with a quick demo).
- An overview of the standardization process for new IRC specifications, with a focus on the specification for Web push notifications.
(Unfortunately the sound quality is mediocre due to audio issues in the room that day.)
We also gave out some stickers after the talk. If you did not get one, you might get a chance next year at FOSDEM 2026!
